Jacob Lucas

Jacob Lucas is the Director of Transmission System Planning at Eversource. Eversource is New England’s largest utility with over 4.4 million customers and proudly serves as a catalyst for clean energy, decarbonization, and grid modernization. In particular, the Transmission System Planning team is innovating with some of the region’s most cutting-edge projects as well as supporting the development of Eversource’s offshore wind projects.

In addition to his time at Eversource, Jacob worked at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in Washington, D.C. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a master’s degree in Power Systems from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

David Gilford

David leads policy for Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners (SIP), building public-private partnerships to deliver value to national, regional, and local governments and communities. Backed by Alphabet, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, and StepStone, SIP applies innovative technology to urban infrastructure systems.

Over two decades at the intersection of the public and private sectors, David has built cross-sector programs to support innovation. As a Principal at HR&A Advisors and co-founder of the Broadband Equity Partnership, David designed digital and social infrastructure to close the digital divide. Previously, he co-founded the Connected Communities practice at Intersection, developing technology strategies for neighborhood-scale real estate developments.

David’s public sector experience includes serving as Vice President for Urban Innovation & Sustainability at the New York City Economic Development Corporation and leading the City’s energy economic development initiatives. David holds a BA in Economics from Williams College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Lotte Schlegel

Lotte Schlegel is the Executive Director of the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT), a national nonprofit organization with a mission to catalyze widespread and sustained demand for high-performing buildings. IMT leverages its expertise in the intersection of real estate and public policy to make buildings more productive, affordable, valuable, and resilient. IMT co-designs policies, programs, and business practices by deploying actionable resources, market analysis, and hands-on technical assistance.

Lotte has experience running water, energy efficiency, and clean energy programs as well as a background in energy policy and regulation. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
