At Stony Brook University, we stand firmly behind the Advanced Energy Conference 2022, New York State’s premiere energy conference, in its mission to better our planet. We recognize that now is a critical, and urgent, time to discover and advocate for new ways to harness life-sustaining energy. I would like to thank the conference committees, exhibitors, and supporting organizations for gathering such a multi-faceted group of global energy and government leaders to share their passions and expertise on this important cause. We are pooling our powerful knowledge. We are driving innovation. And together, we are charting a new frontier of clean energy. With hard work, strong convictions, and pioneering research, Stony Brook continues to improve the latest technologies while remaining focused on the ultimate goal: to bring hope to an increasingly challenged world and share what we learn to advance sustainable energy. We do this for the future, but we also do this for a better world—right here and right now.
As the provider of gas and electric services to millions of customers in New York and Massachusetts, National Grid is committed to leading a clean energy transition that is reliable, safe, and leaves no communities behind. We are working with our partners throughout New York to meet the state’s groundbreaking climate goals and believe the most affordable, efficient, and practical way to reach them is through a hybrid pathway that decarbonizes both our gas and electric systems. Increased energy efficiency will play an important role in this effort. We’ve invested millions in infrastructure to connect wind, solar, battery storage, and enable electric vehicle charging stations. And we envision replacing natural gas with fossil-free alternatives like renewable natural gas, or RNG, and green hydrogen by 2050.
We are proud to sponsor this important gathering of energy professionals to discuss our shared interest in a clean and fair energy future.
The Advanced Energy Conference is a key gathering of energy professionals in New York and beyond. This is an excellent forum to exchange ideas and learn about current energy issues and opportunities. This is a unique opportunity for our company and we are proud to support the conference.
Welcome to the 12th Advanced Energy Conference in New York City! The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is honored to once again sponsor one of the nation’s top clean energy conferences. This two-part conference attracts innovative clean energy leaders from all around the globe who are committed to collective climate action. In New York, thanks to Governor Hochul’s leadership and our public and private partners, we are on this rewarding journey together to upgrade how we power our electric grid, boost energy storage, enhance energy efficiency and electrify our homes, businesses and transportation, in a comprehensive and just and equitable way. Ever Upward!
Guided by its strategic vision, VISION2030, the New York Power Authority is helping the Hochul Administration advance a nation-leading clean energy economy through the aggressive decarbonization of the power grid.
The Power Authority is leading the most significant rebuilding of the state’s transmission system in 40 years. These landmark large-scale projects are being designed to unbottle the movement of clean energy generated upstate to the areas of demand downstate and expanding access to utility-scale solar and wind renewable resources.
NYPA’s innovation-centric focus is contributing to a significant increase in the utilization of electric vehicles by coordinating with transportation agencies to electrify their fleets and deploying a network of EV chargers across the state. The Power Authority has also launched ConnectALL, a 2022 State of the State initiative, transforming New York’s digital infrastructure and expanding broadband access, affordability and equity, statewide.
Ørsted’s vision is a world that runs entirely on green energy, an ambition that will require immense collaboration, innovation and bold leadership to achieve. As a company, Ørsted has already made its transition from a fossil-fired power generator to a renewable energy developer, and the AERTC conference is an ideal opportunity to share lessons learned and discuss the best paths forward for our collective energy future.
As the U.S. offshore wind leader, we look forward to the conversation about how the industry is beginning to scale in the U.S. and how we can work together maximize the immense clean energy and economic opportunity it presents. American ingenuity and innovation will be vital to addressing the climate crisis, and through events like this we have a chance to share insights and build collaboration that will lead to a cleaner, greener future.
PSEG Long Island works hard to provide customers on Long Island and in the Rockaways with outstanding reliability and storm response, strong involvement in the communities we serve, and an exceptional customer experience that incorporates new technology and smarter energy use. We fully embrace the goals contained in the New York State Climate act, including solar, offshore wind, electric vehicles and heat pumps. We are excited to support the Advanced Energy Conference because it gives us the opportunity to share our vision, interact with other leaders and visionaries, and learn how best to forge a responsible energy future on Long Island, in our state and across the nation.
