Pradheep Kileti

Pradheep Kileti is the Director of Future of Heat Asset Engineering and R&D Program Management for National Grid’s gas business in the U.S. His primary areas of focus are renewable natural gas, hydrogen blending, district heating systems, and investing in strategic R&D priorities pertaining to underground assets.

Pradheep is actively leading various projects involving decarbonizing one of the hardest sectors, building heating. Apart from Hydrogen Blending project, he is also working in biomethane/renewable natural gas. He is actively involved in research applications of decarbonized gas and envisions an economic pathway to reduce emissions and is personally committed to negate climate change in one of the core needs, energy utilities that people rely on for their everyday needs. His work will result in meeting our nation’s ambitious climate goals through prudent commercialization of low-carbon energy delivery technologies.

Pradheep has a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and holds a Master of Business Administration from Hofstra University and a corporate innovation certification from Stanford University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Connecticut.

Kiran Kumaraswamy

Kiran Kumaraswamy is VP of Growth at Fluence. In this role, he manages a team of professionals that helps identify new commercial models, new geographies, and new customer segments to enable strong growth for Fluence in the near term. As part of his responsibilities, he also oversees product strategy and market development, providing a key interface between regional sales teams and global product, and technology organizations. He owns and delivers Fluence’s go-to-market strategies for key markets. His work involves implementing regulatory and policy solutions that create access to key markets.

Kiran is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on policy issues that impact energy storage development and has testified multiple times at the U.S. Congress and FERC on a range of subjects including wholesale market reforms and multiple use cases for energy storage. Kiran works closely with electricity industry stakeholders, NGOs, trade associations, and state regulators to develop policy priorities and market action plans. Kiran serves on the Board of Directors of the American Clean Power Association (ACP) and has served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the U.S. Energy Storage Association (ESA).

Prior to joining Fluence, he worked as a Senior Manager in ICF International advising private-sector clients on wholesale power market and transmission issues. He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras, India.

William P. Acker

Dr. William Acker is a well-known and highly regarded scientist, business leader, and entrepreneur in the field of energy. He currently serves as the first Executive Director of NY-BEST, the New York Battery and Energy Storage Technology Consortium.

Under his leadership, NY-BEST has grown its membership to more than 175 companies, created the BEST Test and Commercialization Center and new battery prototyping capabilities, and has performed pioneering work in advancing markets, policy, technology, and product development.
