William Haugland Jr.

Established on Long Island in 1999, Haugland Group LLC and its subsidiaries provide a comprehensive range of energy and civil infrastructure services along the eastern seaboard from Maine to the U.S. Virgin Islands. From power restoration and infrastructure support amid intensifying storms — to our growing involvement in renewable and sustainable energy starting with New York’s first off shore wind farm along the South Fork — Haugland Group plays a significant role in improving the quality of daily life for residents across Long Island and the greater New York metropolitan area.

Haugland Group is headquartered in Melville, employing over 1,000 Long Islanders and is firmly committed to New York’s socio-economic development. Offering broad employment opportunities across a multitude of disciplines, the majority of our workforce is comprised of unionized labor throughout building trades and IBEW locals.

Exploring his passion for transportation infrastructure from a young age, Mr. Haugland took a role within his family-owned construction business, working in the field with project management teams. In his current role, Mr. Haugland oversees the management of Haugland Group’s portfolio, including Grace Industries LLC and Haugland Energy LLC.

Embodying Haugland Group’s commitment to the energy and civil infrastructure communities, Billy Haugland II holds multiple boards seats including the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the Long Island Contractors’ Association (LICA), and the Long Island Association (LIA). Most recently, Mr. Haugland has been appointed to the Board of Advisors Executive Committee for the Energeia Partnership of Molloy University and is a member of the Class of 2021.
