Richard Bourgeois is Program Manager for Innovation Market Engagement at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), working to strengthen and coordinate innovation ecosystems in New York State. He previously served as Operations Manager for Innovation and as Principal Investigator for NYSERDA’s project with the U.S. Department of Energy to establish the National Offshore Wind Research and Development Consortium.
Prior to joining NYSERDA, Richard held a number of roles over many years at General Electric, earning twenty U.S. patents for his work on solid oxide fuel cells, hydrogen electrolysis and grid-scale energy storage. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York State with a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an undergraduate degree in engineering from Boston University.
