Lane Nelson

In his role as CFO at Switched Source over the past five years, Lane Nelson has overseen financial operations, fundraising and investor management, government contract management, human resources, and information systems. He also supports supply chain management through supplier negotiations and materials resource planning. As Co-Founder of Switched Source, Lane was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2018 (Energy).

Lane has more than a decade of experience in private and institutional financial consulting, specializing in capital structuring and asset management, financial modeling and risk-mitigation, previously at Merrill Lynch. Lane has served as a business and financial strategy mentor for two early-stage technology companies, and Industry Mentor as part of the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps Program.

Lane holds his bachelor’s degree (2010) in Economic Management from Gustavus Adolphus College, and MBA (2017) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with concentrations in Accounting, Finance, and Entrepreneurship.
