
Kiran Kumaraswamy is VP of Growth at Fluence. In this role, he manages a team of professionals that helps identify new commercial models, new geographies, and new customer segments to enable strong growth for Fluence in the near term. As part of his responsibilities, he also oversees product strategy and market development, providing a key interface between regional sales teams and global product, and technology organizations. He owns and delivers Fluence’s go-to-market strategies for key markets. His work involves implementing regulatory and policy solutions that create access to key markets.
Kiran is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on policy issues that impact energy storage development and has testified multiple times at the U.S. Congress and FERC on a range of subjects including wholesale market reforms and multiple use cases for energy storage. Kiran works closely with electricity industry stakeholders, NGOs, trade associations, and state regulators to develop policy priorities and market action plans. Kiran serves on the Board of Directors of the American Clean Power Association (ACP) and has served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the U.S. Energy Storage Association (ESA).
Prior to joining Fluence, he worked as a Senior Manager in ICF International advising private-sector clients on wholesale power market and transmission issues. He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras, India.
